Varsity Wrestling has produced 27 conference champions, 5 state champions, 14 prep All-Americans, and a national champion, but the most important accomplishment of the program is that it instills and demands that our athletes are true Loyola Dons on and off the mat. Through good sportsmanship, hard work, dedication, and sacrifice, we hope that the young men that wrestle for us will be outstanding students and citizens when their time at Loyola is finished. Now in his 17th season, Steve Truitt leads a wrestling program that has been a symbol of consistent statewide success and is rich in wrestling history. The team competes in the MIAA 'A' Conference and wrestles the best competition in the state. Last year, the team had another strong season with eighteen wins and a top five ranking statewide. With the core of the team returning this year, Coach Truitt anticipates even more success.
