A Prayerful Community
As members of the Body of Christ, the Loyola Blakefield community is called to actively and consciously participate in the liturgies of the Church through our presence, ritual action, prayer, silence, and song. Ignatian Spirituality teaches us that we’re created “to praise, reverence, and serve God.” This is made easier when we acknowledge and experience the importance of prayer and the sacraments in our lives. Students, faculty, and staff gather once a month to celebrate liturgy as a united community of faith. Each afternoon, our community pauses its work to show gratitude for the day’s blessings by praying the Examen.
Daily Mass
Daily masses are held Monday-Friday at 7:15 a.m. in Our Lady of Montserrat Chapel. Daily masses will not be held on days where school is not in session or days of All-School Masses.
Note: We welcome families, alumni, and friends of the school to attend daily mass. However, due to limited parking and the heavy morning drop-off traffic, we ask that you only park in the lower lots accessible via Charles Street and depart campus by 7:45 a.m.
If you wish to attend a morning mass, Wednesdays are ideal given the later start to our school day. The above parking restrictions apply.
