Varsity Basketball competes in the prestigious Baltimore Catholic League (BCL) and MIAA 'A' Conference. One of the founding members of the BCL, Loyola has won five titles and is the only school to win four championships in a row. The team has made a total of 14 BCL title game appearances. Loyola had a recent stretch of six straight playoff appearances in the MIAA and finished the 2018-19 season with 20 wins. Currently, the team is coached by Josh Czerski who is in his first season at Loyola. The team takes pride of its work not only on the court, but also in the classroom and by serving its local and worldwide community. The team has produced many Division I, II, and III players who go on to do great things athletically, academically and in their community after they graduate.
