The Loyola Blakefield Baseball Program plays in the MIAA 'A' Conference and is based on a competitive and learning environment. We have added Veterans Park, a fully turfed baseball field with a press box and two batting cages to an already impressive indoor facility. The indoor facility has our large four-court gym, a drop down batting cage and our hitting lab with a HitTrax Baseball Simulator. Loyola captured the MIAA 'A' Conference Title in 2017 and has made the playoffs every year since.
Graduates of our baseball program have had success at the collegiate level at DI, DII, and DIII schools including University of Virginia, University of Maryland, University of Pennsylvania, Mount St. Mary's University, High Point University, Washington College, University of Massachusetts, Bridgewater College, Chowan University, DeSales University, Swarthmore College, Johns Hopkins University, Marymount University, and more. Some of our more notable alumni include Bruce Zimmermann '13, who was the opening day starting pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles in 2022 and Matt Wyatt '19 who was selected by The Tampa Bay Rays in the 2022 MLB Draft.
