2025 Kelley Medal Breakfast
On Thursday, March 6th, 2025, we hosted the annual Kelley Medal Award Breakfast. Attendees included several previous award recipients, representatives from the Loyola Blakefield Alumni Association, the entire Class of 2025, as well as friends and family of this years' honoree, Dr. James "Jim" Taneyhill '65.
Dr. Taneyhill's life has been a testament to service, excellence, and compassion. Raised in Rodgers Forge, Baltimore County, Jim graduated from Loyola Blakefield in 1965 before attending Loyola University (then College), where he earned his undergraduate degree in 1969. Following his graduation, he served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot, including a year of service in Vietnam. His dedication to his country extended through 30 years in the Maryland Army National Guard, where he achieved the rank of Colonel and was awarded numerous commendations, including the Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star.
