Loyola Blakefield is proud to announce the appointment of Sebastian Price ‘02 as Director of Admissions & Enrollment Management, effective April 1, 2025. Price currently serves as Assistant Director of Admissions - Upper School, a role he has held since 2023. Stephen Abrams, who has led the department since 2021, announced his transition to a new leadership role at St. Joseph’s Preparatory School in Philadelphia.

Price brings a deep connection to Loyola Blakefield, both as an alumnus and a dedicated educator. Over his 15-year tenure, he has shaped the school community as a Middle School and High School Theology Teacher for grades 7, 9, and 12, and as a coach across multiple sports. These experiences have solidified his reputation as a mentor and advocate for students and families.
Prior to his time at Loyola, Price served at St. Ignatius Loyola Academy from 2006 to 2010 as a Teacher, Campus Minister, Mission and Identity Coordinator, and Lacrosse Coach. He also worked at St. Ignatius Parish from 2007 to 2011 as Director of Religious Education and served as a member of the Parish Council. His commitment to Jesuit education deepened through his participation in the Ignatian Leadership Seminars (2021-2023), a three-year program fostering leadership skills and personal reflection for aspiring Jesuit school leaders nationwide.
Price earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Wheeling Jesuit University in 2006, where he was a scholarship student-athlete and four-year NCAA Division II lacrosse player. He later completed Master’s in Education with a focus on Educational Leadership in Catholic Schools from Loyola University in 2015. His academic achievements and long-standing ties to Loyola uniquely position him to lead the school’s enrollment initiatives.
Reflecting on his journey, Price highlighted the significance of his roots at Loyola Blakefield. “Loyola Blakefield isn’t just a school to me—it’s a cornerstone of my life and my family’s history, stretching back to 1942 when my grandfather dedicated over 30 years here as a teacher, coach, and athletic director. As a student, alumnus, teacher, coach, and through admissions work, I’ve seen this community from every angle, and I’m driven to build on that legacy by opening its doors to the next generation of Dons.”
Price brings a profound commitment to the school’s Jesuit mission and a clear vision for its future. In his own words, he articulates the passion that drives his leadership: “I believe in Loyola’s transformative impact because I’ve lived it and seen it in countless student stories. Our strength lies in our culture and community—a mission-centered home rooted in service, faith, and excellence. I’m eager to collaborate with our faculty, staff, and families to attract those who want to be part of something larger than themselves, ensuring Loyola stands out as a beacon in a competitive landscape.”
As he steps into this new role, Price expressed gratitude for the foundation laid by his predecessor and the collaborative efforts of his colleagues: “I would like to personally thank Mr. Stephen Abrams and the entire Enrollment Management Team for their guidance and support. They have helped me build a strong foundation with the work and have been great models of how to be highly effective and personable, always focusing on Cura Personalis in our process.”
