Meet Luca

FEATURING:

Luca Pirisino '25
"There are an infinite number of ways to shape your experience at Loyola."

Luca admits that he was a little nervous on his first day as a 6th grader at Loyola. As a legacy, becoming a Don was top of mind, but it was the abundance of opportunity at Blakefield that confirmed his family’s decision. He was determined to jump right into the mix because, in his words, “there are an infinite number of ways to shape your experience at Loyola.” He has taken full advantage.

Whether in his role as student government VP of Clubs and Activities, President of the Senior Board, or as a broadcaster for athletic livestreams, Luca exemplifies what it means to be contemplative in action. He also discovered a passion for his digital media class. Before he knew it, Luca was participating in the Creative Expressions certificate program and now enjoys expressing his ideas and technical skills through the videos he produces for the SGA forums and announcements.

However, even Luca knows the importance of slowing down occasionally, and his favorite part of the day is “sitting outside with my friends enjoying the beautiful campus reflecting on how grateful I am for what I have.”

He also loves pursuing his other passion—geography! He loves maps and has an impeccable sense of direction and says he hasn’t used a GPS in months! This practice has spurred on his desire to travel across the country and the world.

Fortunately, Luca still has another year at Blakefield and looks forward to soaking up every experience he can as he thinks ahead to the future. He wants his legacy to be leadership. He looks up to our beloved Will Stocksdale, '21. Luca seeks to follow his example as a leader and a man for others.
