Meet Tucker

FEATURING:

Tucker Kuhn '24
"Our mission, Men serving with and for others, means something to me."

Although Tucker’s dad is a Calvert Hall graduate (we won’t hold that against him!), the Kuhn family has been bleeding blue and gold for the past 17 years. By all accounts the Kuhn family is one of the most spirited and dedicated families within this community.

Drawing from the stellar examples set by his three brothers, Sam, Cullen, and Grady, Tucker has continued his family’s legacy and created his own unique experience as a Don. He’s been an active member of The One Love Club and the Service and Justice Committee and has earned varsity letters in both volleyball and lacrosse.

Service has always been very important to Tucker, and his trip to Montana last summer helping to beautify a Native American reservation made an indelible impact on him. It made him reflect on “how lucky we are to be a part of a community like Loyola,” and reinforced his desire to truly be a Man for Others. He’d like to be remembered as “the kind of person who wants the best for the people around him.” For him, Loyola is about “being a part of something bigger than yourself. Our mission, Men serving with and for others, means something to me.”

True to form, Tucker will be reporting for duty at the United States Merchant Marine Academy for his four-year degree in marine engineering. After this he’s considering a career in the military or the maritime industry. We are so excited for Tucker and commend him for embarking on his career as one of our nation’s servant leaders.
