Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

In the context of Catholic and Jesuit education, we believe in the power and necessity of diversity—to achieve a greater richness of ideas and to prepare our Dons to be leaders in an increasingly global community. We define diversity among our teachers and Dons in many ways: as differences in race, ethnicity, and religious beliefs, but also in learning styles and abilities, sexual orientation, and socio-economic backgrounds.

Fulfilling our shared commitment to be a community of inclusion, connection, and belonging is the responsibility of all members, as we strive to nurture an environment where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered.
The Fischer Program is a new Loyola Blakefield initiative that provides an ideal opportunity for highly motivated middle school-age boys of color from Baltimore City and County to engage in a three-year program to develop the strong study skills and focused approach to learning that will prepare them for Loyola Blakefield's challenging Upper School college preparatory curriculum. Learn more about the Fischer Program here.
