Middle School Squash Scores Big at Maryland State Championships
Loyola Blakefield's Middle School Squash team dominated the Maryland Middle School Squash Championships, which were held at Calvert School between February 6–7. The tournament capped off a fantastic season for the middle school Dons. Congratulations to the entire team, including the following Dons who placed in the top three of their respective divisions:
Division 2 – Champions Patrick Counselman '29, Connor Doehne '27, Henry Poe '27, Charlie Compton '27, and Tucker Houck '29
Division 3 – Third Place Luis Navas-Migueloa '27, Sebastian Haber '27, Wes Gibson '28, Hayden Shower '27, and Hugh McLain '29
Division 4 – Champions Jake Davis '27 and Colin Hang '29 who were joined by several players from Roland Park Country School
At the conclusion of the tournament, Coach Bob Everd addressed the parents and students. “Coach Jack and I want to thank all of you for your support and most importantly would like to express our gratitude to each of the boys. It is their character and competitive growth, based on the concept of being a member of a team, that really fills a spot in our hearts."
