Quench your thirst for all sports in this fun multisport/games camp. This camp is designed to provide exposure and basic instruction in a number of different competitive activities. Activities include softball, basketball, volleyball, tennis, swimming, dodgeball, bocce, soccer, kickball, as well as individual and team challenges. In addition, the camp will offer a variety of game options.

Archery (Co-Ed)
July 8 – July 12 (AM Session)Cost: $195Co-Ed Ages 10–14
This camp is an introduction to Olympic recurve archery. Campers will learn about shooting, score keeping, and archery safety while playing archery games during the week. Campers will also work on setting goals and improving their skills. During breaks from archery lessons, campers will go swimming and play other games. This camp is for boys and girls entering grades 5–8.
Baseball

Baseball is a game of skill, tactics, and technique. Participants will be offered programs designed to develop young players in all facets of the game. The coaching staff will teach fundamentals throughout the camp, and each day is designed to increase individual skills in an atmosphere that is challenging, competitive, and fun.

We are excited to offer our second year of Basketball Camp led by new Head Coach Josh Czerski. Coach Czerski is entering January 2024 with a 13-3 record at Loyola. Czerski is in his 1st Season after departing Parkville HS with a record of 116-33 along with a State Championship in 2023. Coach Czerski is ready to lead our campers and future Dons!

Jerry Savage Basketball Academy
Tuesday Evenings from June 18 – July 30

Cost: $190 for 6 Sessions
Grades 6–8
Proper basketball fundamentals will be taught, emphasized and reinforced at all times in training drills. The program will be run in Loyola Blakefield's main gym on Tuesdays throughout the summer months. Each week the boys will work on fundamentals of the game through drills and fun competitions. Fundamentals will include ball handling, passing, shooting form, defensive stance, and footwork.
The Jerry Savage Basketball Academy will be run by Loyola Blakefield Freshman Basketball Coach Brian Plunkett and Michael Savage, son of legendary Loyola basketball coach Jerry Savage. Plunkett has been coaching basketball at all levels from Kindergarten through the high school level for 40 years with 24 years of officiating local high school games. Savage coached with his father at Loyola on the JV and Varsity levels.
Dodgeball, Dodgeball, & More Dodgeball Camp
July 8–12 & July 15–19 (PM Sessions)

This camp offers a variety of thrilling dodgeball games. These activities are fun, educational, and involve teamwork, strategy and true skills. Learn how to duck, dive, dip, chuck, and DODGE a ball like a champ. This camp will also include water dodgeball for those that would like to cool off in our pool while still playing this amazingly fun game. The camp will be run by our own king of dodgeball, Anthony Zehyoue, Loyola's varsity football head coach.
Flag Football & Football Games Galore Camp
July 8–12 & July 15–19 (AM Sessions)
Cost: $195
Ages 8–14
This camp introduces a wide range of skills throughout the week including passing, receiving and de-flagging, with a strong focus on the rules of the game. Each day ends with small-sided games where the coaches encourage good sportsmanship and teamwork.
Participants will develop an understanding of offensive and defensive plays and be encouraged to implement these skills into realistic scrimmages and gameplay situations.
Flag football summer camp is appropriate for players ranging from beginners to those already well-versed in the sport. Groups are separated by age and ability to ensure all players flourish in a positive learning environment while having a great time! Campers will also play other varieties of the games indoors, outdoors, and in the pool!
Football
June 24 – June 28 (Full Day Session)Cost: $415*Ages 8–14
This camp features fundamental skills to be applied on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Campers receive expert, individual instruction through the camp with an emphasis on technique, including skills such as blocking, positions, stance and start, passing technique, receiving, and more. The football camp is directed by Loyola Blakefield's Varsity football coach, Anthony Zehyoue. Coach Zehyoue has served as Assistant Varsity Coach for the past two seasons. He graduated from Louisiana State University where he played as a defensive lineman from 2004–07. He was a member of the 2007 National Championship team.

Lacrosse (Boys)
June 10-14 & June 17–21 & June 24 – June 28 (Full Day Sessions) 9am-4pmCost: $415*Ages 8–14The camp is designed for all levels of players. Campers will learn individual skills, including stick work, footwork, dodging, shooting, and individual defense. Campers will practice these drills in an up-tempo environment. In addition, campers will learn team concepts and compete in a number of game-like situations, and they will have the opportunity to earn a number of prizes. The goal of the camp is to inspire players to continue to improve and to teach the concepts that have led Loyola to consistent success. The camp will be directed by Loyola's Varsity Lacrosse Coaching Staff.

OUTDOOR GAMES

Embark on an exciting journey at our outdoor games summer camp, where adventure knows no bounds. From classic favorites like capture the flag, relay races, and kickball to innovative challenges like obstacle courses and scavenger hunts, every day promises thrills and laughter. Join us for a week of friendship, skill-building, and unforgettable memories under the sun.
S.C.A.N. (Strength, Conditioning, & Nutrition) Camp (Boys)
Two Week Camp June 10–21 & July 8–19 (AM Sessions)Cost: $315Grades 6–12
During our two-week sessions, attendees will gain knowledge about how 70% of your fitness is proper nutrition and hydration, participate in weight training, HIIT, circuit and endurance training, yoga, Pilates, speed and agility training, upper and lower body plyometrics, aquatic aerobics and much more. We also take a field trip to the market to learn how to properly shop for your fitness goals in addition to a cooking demo that teaches how you can eat healthy, and it still taste great.
The camp will be led by the head of Personal Training and Development at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Tavon Copes, Nikki Love and Coach Jones. In addition to his role at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Mr. Copes has been a certified personal trainer for over 10 years and currently holds numerous certifications. All attendees will not only receive targeted instruction on building functional strength for their respective sports/activities, but also how proper nutrition will assist them in attaining their fitness goals. The soccer camp curriculum offers challenges within a nurturing learning environment. This program provides opportunities to grow and improve for both beginning players and premier athletes. The mission is to generate passion for the game through technique, tactics, and fun. Whether players are just learning the basics of the game, or preparing for accelerated levels of play, Loyola Soccer Camps delivers fun-filled and intensive soccer education and training by the Loyola Varsity Staff.

Volleyball

Designed for those who are looking to develop their skills for play at the high school level. Camp will focus on the individual skills of serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking and defense. Camper will also learn volleyball team concepts. Emphasis will be given to offensive and defensive systems including the 6-2 and 5-1 offense. This camp will be run by Loyola Blakefield's Varsity Head Coach, Mr. Tim Baier.
Advanced Volleyball
July 15–19 (AM Session)Cost: $195Co-Ed Grades 8–10
Designed for those experienced Volleyball players who have at least one year club or competitive volleyball experience. The camp will focus on preparing players for High School tryouts or competitive league play. Campers will also learn volleyball team concepts. This camp will be run by Loyola Blakefield's Varsity Head Coach, Mr. Tim Baier.
Water Polo

If you love to swim and compete in a fast-paced team sport, then you will love water polo. In this camp, students learn the basic rules and skills of the game, getting plenty of game-time experience. Leading this camp is Loyola’s Varsity Water Polo and Swimming coach, Gordon Amato.
Wrestling
June 24-28 (AM Session)Cost: $195
Grades 6–12
This wrestling camp is for rising 6th graders to rising 12th graders of all ability levels. Coach Jones will focus on the techniques that has helped Loyola Blakefield become one of the best wrestling programs in the Mid-Atlantic region. We will focus on improving or refining techniques in the neutral, top and bottom positions as well as the mental aspect of taking your wrestling to the next level. We will also participate in fun activities such as battle ball, grip game, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee and more.
