Wheeler Hall’s tower is a beacon that points down to the Mary G. Creaghan Library on the second floor of the building. Students, faculty, and other Loyola Blakefield community members receive twenty-first century information services in this historic school library. The library is named in honor of Loyola Blakefield’s first librarian.
The extensive print and multimedia collections in the Creaghan Library provide a wealth of resources for spiritual reflection, interdisciplinary research, cultural enrichment, recreational reading, and refinement of study skills. There are over 18,000 publications and 3,000 audio visual materials in the collection. The library also has a computer room with 12 computers as well as printing and copying for students and staff.
The library staff provides direct assistance with research, information literacy instruction, interlibrary loans and leisure reading selection.
